The yuba served at our restaurant is freshly made in our own workshop. Produced without any additives and made from 100% domestically grown Japanese soybeans, it is a natural and wholesome food. Our skilled craftsmen carefully lift each delicate sheet by hand to create kumiage yuba (freshly scooped yuba), which is used in our dishes. This allows guests to enjoy the gentle aroma of soy milk and its smooth, silky texture. We offer a Tempura Set Meal with Shrimp and Seasonal Vegetables (¥3,300), featuring freshly fried tempura served piping hot. Within walking distance are Entoku-in Temple, known as the place where Kita-no-Mandokoro, also known as Nene and the principal wife of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, spent her final years, as well as Kōdai-ji Temple, from which our restaurant takes its name, Yasaka Shrine, and Chion-in Temple. The restaurant is also conveniently located for a pleasant walk through Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka on the way to worship at Kiyomizu-dera Temple.
